On October 15, 2023, the Nepal Automobiles Association (NASA Nepal) successfully coordinated the 'F1 in Schools 2023' Nepal edition. In the conclusive stage of this event, centered on model car design, racing, teamwork, and presentation, Team Dristi emerged victorious beating the other five teams.In this competition organized by NASA Nepal and coordinated by Kathmandu Engineering College, six teams of students from Kathmandu Engineering College, Thapathali Campus, Advance College, Nagarjuna College and other colleges reached the national finals. A total of 33 engineering students from Team Dristi, The Boltz, Photon, Inferno, Flash and Dragon Drifter got a chance to prove themselves in the game.The winning team consisted of Aastha Shrestha (team leader) and Kushan Shrestha from Kathmandu Engineering College, Bipana Bhujel, Rohan Shrestha and Sanjog Silwal from Thapathali Campus and Nalisa Shakya from United Academy. Similarly, the runner-up team, The Boltz, consisted of Yangchen Lama, Bhumi Kayastha, Rijul Maskey, Prasang Baral and Ayush Pant from Kathmandu Engineering College.
National Sports Council Vice President Shiv Koirala and Member Secretary Tanglal Ghising were also present at the national finals at Satdobato International Sports Complex. The winning team, Team Dristi, received Rs. 30,000 in cash along with a shield and a certificate, while the runner-up team, The Boltz, received Rs. 20,000 in cash, a shield and a certificate.The winners of the competition were awarded by Kathmandu Engineering College President Hidrendra Man Pradhan, NASA Nepal President Dashrath Risal and other officials.
